A Blog About Skateboarding and Ageing, and Other Stuff

Neil Archer (author/illustrator) is a writer and teacher based in the UK, and the author of Sport, Film, and the Modern World (Peter Lang, 2024). For the last year, he has also been a skateboarder. His ambition is to become a slightly better one.

More Than Coping is about learning and failing to skate past fifty, why it matters, and a bunch of other related stuff. We’ll be talking about movies, books, philosophy, and basically a whole lot of things you probably think have nothing to do with skateboarding. But they do.

So if you’re in these shoes, or even if you’re not, do come along for the ride.

We’d love most of all to hear about your own thoughts and experiences. Get in touch if you’d like to share a related story on the site.
